2. Subordinate Services: 490 Post
Reservation : Government of India Directives on reservation applicable for Scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) candidates will apply and be strictly followed. Reservation for SC/ ST/OBC will be provided as indicated in the “Details of the Posts”.
Scheme of examination: RAS Exam 2013The Combined Competitive Examination will be held in two successive stages-
(i) Preliminary Examination, and
(ii) Main Examination
(i) Preliminary examination : The Preliminary Examination will consist of one paper on the subject specified below, which will be of objective type and carry a maximum of 200 marks. The examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The Standard of the paper will be that of a Bachelor‟s Degree Level. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates. who are declared qualified for admission to Main Examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
General Instructions :RAS Exam 2013
(i) All papers shall be answered either in Hindi or in English, but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any one paper partly in Hindi and partly in English unless specifically allowed to do so.
(ii) If a candidate‟s handwriting is not easily legible, a deduction will be made on this account from the total marks otherwise accruing to him.
(iii) Credit will be given for orderly, effective and exact expression combined with due economy of words in all subjects of examination.
Syllabus and scope of the papers :- The syllabus and scope of each paper for the examination will be as prescribed by the Commission from time to time and will be intimated to the candidates within the stipulated time in the manner as the Commission deems fit.
Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Test, information for which will be provided in the Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear in Interview.
NOTE : In filling the vacancies so reserved the canddidates who are “non-gazetted employees” shall be eligible for appoinment in the order in which their names appear in the list irrespective of their relative marks as compared with other candidates. If a sufficient number of candidates who are non-gazetted employees is not available for filling all the vacancies so reserved, the remaining vacancies shall be filled by appointing other candidates in the list.

9.After applying through online, candidate is required to take a print out of the application form with unique registration numbergenerated by the system and affix a recent passport size photograph and send the same along with the Demand Draft (in original) and self attested copies of all certificates for proof of age, qualifications, mark sheets, experience, caste, disability etc, toIt is important to note that, the candidature will be considered only on receipt of the online application print out with Registration numberalong with copies of certificates and the Demand Draft as applicable.
